Prof R. K. Pal is currently working as the Director of the ICAR-National Research Centre on Pomegranate at Solapur
Maharashtra. After his formal education from West Bengal
he received M.Sc and Ph.D. degrees in Horticulture from IARI and joined Agricultural Research Service of ICAR. He served IARI in different capacities for over 25 years as Scientist
Professor and Head of the Division of Post Harvest Technology. He underwent advanced training in USA and attended International Course on Food Processing as FAO Fellow in the Netherlands. Based on his momentous contribution
he has been conferred with the prestigious Fellowships of the NAAS and Horticultural Society of India. He is also the recipient of Dr. J.C. Anand Gold Medal of HSI. He was also appointed as National Consultant of FAO of the UN
core team member for establishment of ACARE in Myanmar and technical expert of SAARC.He has more than 100 research publications both in national and International journals
3 books and several book chapters to his credit and filed several patents on innovative technologies that are being commercialized for entrepreneurship and skill development. Dr. N.V. Singh is currently Scientist at ICAR-National Research Centre on Pomegranate
Solapur. He received B.Sc. (Agri) degree from Banaras Hindu University and M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Horticulture from IARI
New Delhi. He joined Agricultural Research Service of ICAR in 2009 and has more than 100 publications to his credit. As the lead innovator
he commercialized 3 technologies on pomegranate propagation and awarded Fellowship and Young Scientist Awards for his scientific contribution. He has experience of supervising more than 10 institutional and externally funded research and developmental projects. He underwent advanced training at West Virginia State University
USA.
