Dr. Nazeer Ahmed is Vice Chancellor Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K) J&K. Dr. Ahmed served in various capacities as Scientist Senior Scientist Associate Director Research Professor and Head Dean Agriculture Director Resident Instruction cum Dean Post Graduate Studies at SKUAST-K and Director ICAR- Central Institute of Temperate Horticulture Srinagar. During his 32 years of service he has contributed significantly as a teacher researcher extension worker and administrator. Dr. Ahmed has published more than 300 research papers in National and International Journals and released 34 varieties and hybrids in Temperate Horticultural crops. Dr. Ahmed has guided many Masters and Ph.D. scholars and is recipient of several prestigious awards and honours including Rajbhasha Gaurav Award Dr. R. S. Paroda Award Dr. M. H. MarigowdaNational Endowment Award Dr. Kriti Singh Gold Medal and Vijay Shree Award. Dr. Shabir A. Wani is presently serving as Head School of Agricultural Economics & Horti-Business Management and also I/C Kashmir and Ladakh Agriculture Watch Center SKUAST-K. Srinagar. Dr. Wani has served in various capacities as Scientist Senior Scientist and Professor in the discipline of Agricultural Economics at SKUAST-K. During his 27 years of service he has guided many students authored 6 book chapters in edited books 8 policy papers published more than 75 papers in peer reviewed journals formulated J&K - Comprehensive State Agriculture Plan (c-SAP) and Carrier Advance Schemes (CAS) for SKUAST-K Scientists and Teachers besides conducted many SKUAS-K initiated livelihood studies in isolated and disadvantageous areas of state. Dr. Wani is twice recipient of DST SERB (GoI) prestigious International Travel Grant award. Dr. W. M. Wani is presently serving as Professor-Cum-Chief Scientist in the Division of Fruit Science Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K) J&K. Dr. Wani has served as Scientist in ICAR Central Institute of Temperate Horticulture Srinagar and as Senior Scientist and Professor in the discipline of Fruit Science at SKUAST-K. During his 35 years of service he has significantly contributed in the field of Horticulture as a Teacher Researcher Extension worker guided many students and published his work in reputed journals. Presently Dr. Wani is actively engaged in popularizing High Density Orcharding in Kashmir and in this regard has also visited many European countries to learn lessons from their experiences.
